The Harvester Golf Club - Rhodes, Iowa - 2000

The Harvester Golf Club is a high-end public, daily-fee facility featuring a championship 18-hole golf course designed by architect Keith Foster. The Tournament Course opened in 2003, stretches over 300 acres and boasts dramatic elevation changes throughout its design (up to 110-feet in some areas). The course plays around Lake Harvester and there are several small ponds and streams coming into play on the course. The rolling fairways play through natural wetlands and densely wooded areas. The greens are large (averaging 7,500 square feet) and a challenge to putt. Bunkering is at a minimum, but those that are present are generally large, flat and well placed to reinforce risk/reward play. The Harvester Tournament Course plays from 5,115 to a whopping 7,340-yards, and there are five sets of tees to challenge all skill levels. For additional information call the pro shop at (641) 227-4653 or visit the club online at www.harvestergolf.com.

Harvester Honors

"Compared to some of the most famous courses in the world, we recognize that The Harvester is young," says Dickson Jensen, owner. "But the course design, the surroundings, the commitment to tradition and the game of golf...it all lends to a maturity and a degree of excellence beyond our years." Jensen and Keith Foster, course architect, are not the only ones to recognize that they conceived something special in The Harvester. The list of national and state honors continues to grow.

The Harvester Community

The Harvester Community offers several neighborhoods with a variety of residential living styles. These styles are known as homesteads, remembering the history of those who first settled across the Iowa prairie. Just as the original homesteads represented newly established roots and security, the homesteads are the center of life at The Harvester, offering individuals and families the opportunity to participate in a warm community atmosphere while enjoying a quiet, country setting. From the spacious country estates to the cozy condominiums, The Harvester offers housing to meet your needs.
